Schools Work
We seek to support schools by providing aspects of spiritual, moral, social & cultural development plus the increasingly essential area of school life within Creativity and Music and Drama.
We have a wealth of experience in this, having done many lessons, assemblies, workshops and more in schools since 1999. This is voluntary work but works within a Christian remit. If you would like us to work in a 'non-religious' context, please visit Myfishbites Media. We have worked in high schools, taking lessons and training young people in DJ-ing.
We are able to work to help schools fulfil their religious education - to add to a vibrant faith community. Study after study has shown the benefit of religious education (an increasingly popular subject), through:
1. Lessons, workshops, training and events to encourage, support and release young people in their skills. We attempt to bring a positive spiritual environment to help schools in their quest to create a positive school community which embraces all its students from all backgrounds, races and beliefs.
2. Hip hop and music workshops - eg. the 4 elements of hip hop through video and action. It also encourages young people to write songs, learn breakdance moves, experiment with digital graffiti, DJ and MC, writing skills - and then encouraging them to perform in their chosen art. This stimulates writing, thinking, cognitive and creative skills and build self esteem.
3. We can also offer a wealth of experience from schools work and youth club work - from Connexions through to running clubs for Year 11s through to running projects for young people at risk of exclusion. Due to the immense experience we have in working within schools, we can also offer detached work and are more than happy to hang out with young people in schools, playing basketball, football - or running lunchtime events.

Funky Youth Ministry Events, Talks, Weekends Away, Training
1. Our high quality evangelistic event called 'Revelation' fusing media, lights, bands, hip hop, games and relevant talks. This has run successfully in Exeter since 2000. It has also been taken 'on the road' to various Christian events. We are able to arrange your event and deliver all the above services. Please contact us for more on this and pricing.
Very willing and able to deliver talky bits, preachy bits - bringing the Bible to life with clarity and reality, applying it practically to young people's and adult's lives. Can combine hip hop performance with teaching - or can bring teaching. Take a look around the site to see the approach and flava.
Regular speaker and Bible teacher, able to work with young people across different backgrounds and in differing situations, according to need. Equally able to speak to 'adult' audiences as well. Aim to bring the Bible relevantly and with practical application to challenge and encourage.

2. We have also supported Christian events in the South West. We have performed, done rap and DJ workshops, done PA, visuals and organisation for these events. We are able to bring a lively, relevant and Gospel-filled rap performance. We have also rapped on a worship album, released by a local artist called Martyn Lufkin. We also work with a local punk band (see image below) called HandMade, who we highly recommend - click here for info on HandMade.

3. For churches and youth worker teams we are also able to offer varied services. We are happy to come and give talks for you. We have a mass of experience in this, having run a youth work at a church, worked in schools, secular youth clubs. Our style is highly Biblical, challenging and real. We can also come and train youth workers or run sessions for young people. Again, experience is very wide and varied. Donations and expenses costs a minimum.
A recent church weekend away where we took PA, DVD created visuals, video mixer, camera, mics, screens and the full setup - delivering workshops, evening events with worship and outdoor programmes was very successful and the church asked for us to return to deliver this service again in the future.
What you can expect is a very well prepared and high quality material. We aren't perfectionists but we invest heavily in all that we do to see that God is honoured, that it is entertaining and professional while being immensely flexible and relaxed..
