Vision Statement

Here is myfishbites and beyond vision statement - - 2008 - -

I'm including it as you or others may share these ideas and join with it so that it will become a reality..

Music Ministry - -

1. To continue to lead worship and be a lead worshipper - honouring God by giving him all that I am. To grow spiritually, musically and as a lead worshipper.

2. To use other musical gifts in production, dance music, remixing Christian songs, writing, leading worship.

3. Developing young people's giftings in all these areas and releasing them.

4. To develop the use of hip hop - music and culture - among young people in schools. To train them and release them. To set up a citywide event to release and allow young people to perform in urban music. To use rap music and writing as a way of helping young people.

Hip Hop Ministry - -

1. To use hip hop culture and music to impact people for God. To work with others to build a credible, God-filled hip hop ministry of integrity and quality.

2. To use rap music as a practitioner to spread the Gospel and be credible as a stand-alone rapper. To develop as a producer of hip hop and as a DJ. To release 'tru skool' or 'holy' hip hop.

3. To work with young people in these areas to encourage, release and train - specifically emcee-ing and DJ-ing. To support in all other aspects of hip hop culture.

4. To start hip hop worship training events and sessions to unite and empower others in this ministry.

5. To look towards establishing a church based on hip hop culture, along the lines of that of Flavor Alliance at Crossover Community Church, Tampa, Florida.

Schools Work - -

1. To continue to work in schools - to be a Spirit-filled disciple of Jesus, modelling Christ and being a pro-active role model. To see young people flourish and to be involved in all aspects of the school - simply honouring God by giving my all and growing as a part of the school. To see God's Kingdom come.

Digital Media - -

1. To use digital media such as video & video editing, web design, graphic art, design, podcasts, creating CD-ROMs, DVDs and CDs for use in a media-based ministry to resource other Christian and secular youth workers.

2. To continue to be inspired by God to provide relevant, Biblical and creative online resources for Christian youth workers working with both Christian and non-Christian young people.

3. To empower and train young people in these digital media skills (above). To work with others with similar skills to build the ministry. To make this available to churches and secular agencies for young people.

4. To work with others in the setting up, supporting of church and/or services - or cells based around urban music and digital media worship.

Events - -

1. To continue to offer our 'youth service' on-the-road event, which has travelled around a number of towns. This provides a quality contemporary worship band (mixing in other styles), great sound and visuals and supports local people in getting the Good News and the Word of God out there relevantly.

2. To continue to lead / help lead the work of Exeter Infinity as we deliver events such as FNX (Friday Night Experience) and Progression. For these events to grow spiritually, in quality and accessibility. To continue to see young people and young adults discipled and released.

3. To run high quality hip hop (and other) events to enable this kind of music and ministry to flourish, to see young people come to faith and work with others to see them discipled.

Christian Framework - -

1. To work with other churches and Christians in doing this so as to be accountable and to build God’s Kingdom alongside other people.

2. To work with others to be a prophetic and visionary voice to continue to re-focus church to be relevant to young people and all people, to be centred on the absolute truth of the Bible and being continually open to the Spirit.

3. To work with and support Christian youth workers in their ministries.

4. In all the above to serve and work as a Christian with integrity, pointing people to Jesus by words and actions.

5. To strive for excellence in all areas of ministry - honouring God with the best we can give.

6. To be a servant-hearted, fully committed part of my local church and to be as creative as God can make me to see God's Kingdom grow. To pray faithfully and in the Spirit, to love the Word of God and be obedient to Jesus.
