Quiet-Times

Welcome to the Quiet Times Section

By ‘quiet-times’ we mean times spent daily with God through his Word and prayer. These are mostly short daily (themed) notes aimed at young people, although you can develop them for use elsewhere quite easily. You can also easily expand the quiet-times to use as short talky bits too !!

It’s important that we take time out each day (as best we can) to receive from God, to hear from God and to let God’s Word impact on our hearts and minds. To meditate on God’s Word is to sit and reflect, think about God’s Word, let it sink in and change your heart and mind. (Romans 12.2).

Proverbs 4:20-21 says, “My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart.” This is talking about God’s Word. Live these words and encourage those you work with to do the same!

Many of these quiet-times could easily be developed to be used as short talks and short sessions in youth groups and even youth clubs – with a bit of tweaking or some added stories.

These quiet times are found in the Ministry section on the top menu and are split into various sections – Bible, Church, Classics, Disciples, Faith, Forgiveness, Holy Spirit, Lifestyle, Prayers, Promises, Sin, Worship and quiet-times done by young people.

Quiet-times as mini sessions or mini talks

Some quiet-times are like mini talks / mini sessions.

If you need a quick talk or session to share with your group, then check through the quiet-times. Many of them have loads of content you can use and develop.
